- Description
- Proposals are being sought for replacement and installation of a large bottomless arch culvert located on the Newport Ranger District, Colville National Forest, Pend Orielle County, near Newport, Washington. In-stream work is authorized by a WA State Fish and Wildlife Hydraulic Permit Approval with in-stream work allowed from July 1st August 15th, 2005. Total contract time is 90 calendar days. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials, including the riprap, aggregate, and culvert, to complete the work. The culvert may be aluminum or steel. Poured in place concrete footings are contemplated / specified. Contractor may propose alternate prefab footings with complete information at meets specifications. Dewatering and stream diversion work is required. A dewatering plan will be required with proposal submittals. Resulting contract will be subject to a Hydraulic Permit Approval of WA State Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. Project work requirements include: removal and disposal of the two old culverts stream diversion and dewatering, form and pour footings or place pre-cast footings, culvert assembly, rock placement, backfill and finish grade. The estimated cost range for each project is $100,000 to $250,000. 20% bid bond will be required with all offers, with a resulting 100% performance and payment bond required at time of award. Project is located from Newport, WA, head north approximately 15 miles to Usk, WA and cross the bridge over the Pend Oreille River. Continue to head north approximately 14 miles to the LeClerc Creek Road. The project location is approximately 10 miles up this road on the West Branch of the LeClerc Creek Road. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237990. The small business size standard is no more than $28.5 million gross average receipts per year.
