Description

Tulsa Job Corps Center which is owned by the United States Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration and operated By ResCare Inc. is soliciting bids from General Construction Contractors for the removal of existing wooden handrail and brackets, also to furnish and install new continuous handrails on either side of 6 stairwells in our Academic/Education Building. The extent of work is described in Article 1, as Scope of Work. Interested parties are to determine their bid(s) based on the specifications. Interested bidders are invited to attend a pre-bid conference in the main conference room at Tulsa Job Corps Center located at 1133 N. Lewis in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday April 07, 2005 at 2:00 pm. The Tulsa Job Corps Center reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities Article 1. SCOPE OF WORK ? 48179 (Handrails) 1. Remove all old wooden handrails and brackets from 6 stairways. 2. Provide continuous handrails on either side of the stairs which meet NFPA and ADA requirements 3. Handrails shell be 1 and ? inches OD. The brackets will be secured to adjacent walls or balusters. 4. The handrails will be painted to match existing colors of the stairway. 5. There are 6 stairways that have approximately 22 risers each.
