Description

This synopsis is issued to amend a Solicitation W911QX-05-T-0071, previously published on 16 Mar 05. The requirement for CLIN 0002, Contractor Manpower Reporting, is hereby deleted. The following is added to the Government's Intended Usage, Contrac tor Requirements and General description of system capabilities. The laser welding system is to be completely contained in a dry room. System Physical size is modified to add the following. An allowance has been reserved of 9 feet wide x 4 feet deep for the laser welder, the safety enclosure and the control system. Additional allowance will be made for the cooler/chiller. Salient Characteristics are hereby modified to add the following. The system shall have the capability of target weld widths of 0.03 0 inch +/- 0.005 inch wide. The date responses are due has been extended to 6 Apr 05, 3:00 pm, Eastern time.
