Description
****EXTENSION OF BID CLOSING DATE: The closing date for the acceptance of bids has been extended from 4:00 PM April 14, 2005 until 4:00 PM April 25,2005.**** The scope of this project includes construction of the Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN). The CFN will be a two-story steel frame building, of approximately 94,500 gross square feet. Estimated construction cost is $28,000,000 to $33,000,000. It will house state-of the-art clean rooms; wet and dry laboratories, office space and conference rooms. The laboratories contain special design features to provide a controlled environment for sensitive instruments. These features include precise temperature control and isolation from sources of vibration and electromagnetic and radio frequency interference. Construction of the Center for Functional Nanomaterials will be at the Department of Energy’s, Brookhaven National Laboratory located in Upton, NY 11973. This will be an unrestricted procurement conducted through a qualified Invitation for Bid (IFB), with an award being made to the lowest qualified Bidder. The Center for Functional Nanomaterials is a Davis-Bacon/prevailing rate project. Plans and specifications will be available from www.blueprintonline.com. Costs associated with obtaining plans and specifications will be dependant upon the extent of documents ordered. Detailed instructions for obtaining plans and specifications are provided in the IFB. Requests for the Center for Functional Nanomaterials IFB may be made by mail, E:mail or FAX. All requests must contain the following information: Company Name and Address; Requester’s Telephone No., Fax Number and E:mail address. The Center for Functional Nanomaterials IFB will be available electronically (.pdf format) or in hard copy. Requests should indicate format desired. Hard copies of the Invitation for Bid will be available by mail only.
