Copies of this solicitation will be made available on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home or http://12.3.216.20/home at time of solicitation issuance. From the Gateway homepage, select "search RFQs" from the right hand sidebar. Then close the RFQ you wish to download and view these documents you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com. In addition, to receive E-MAIL NOTIFICATION OF RFQs you must register with the USER PROFILE feature on the Gateway. Specification/patterns and/or applicable documents can be obtained by contacting the buyer Linda Rein at 215-737-2434 or linda.rein@dla.mil. An estimated, repeat estimated response date of May 18, 2005 is established. The following coated cloth shall be procured: 13,173 yards; nylon, plain weave chloroprene coated both sides, 9.5 to 11.5 oz/sq yd after coating, any acceptable thickness, aluminum color fed shade 17178, aromatic hydrocarbon fluid, fire, oil & weather ressitant, waterproof, 39 in width, Type I, Class 3. The cloth shall conform to the requirements of MIL-PRF-2069F, dated 2 Sept 1997. The RFQ will be unrestricted. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriation acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DOD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
