- NOTICE OF INTENT TO BUNDLE The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) 797-NC-05-0029 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Department of Defense (DOD) Indian Health Service (IHS) and the Bureau of Prison (BOP) requirements for Nicotine Transdermal Patches. Nicotine Transdermal Patches are used for smoking cessation. This will be an unrestricted procurement for the following: 1a. Nicotine 7mg/24hr patches package size 7 each estimated annual usage 146,636 Or 1b. Nicotine 7mg/24hr patches package size 14 each estimated annual usage 73,318 2a. Nicotine 14mg/24hr patches package size 7 each estimated annual usage 228,624 Or 2b. Nicotine 14mg/24hr patches package size 14 each estimated annual usage 114,312 3a. Nicotine 21mg/24hr patches package size 7 each estimated annual usage 360,536 Or 3b. Nicotine 21mg/24hr patches package size 14 each estimated annual usage 180,263. NOTE: Where there is a choice of package size as indicated by the word OR, the offeror must submit a price on at least one of the two sizes indicated. Award will be made on the package size most advantageous to the Government. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DOD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor(s). Offerors must provide bar code labeling which includes at a minimum the NDC number. If the offeror is not a manufacturer a signed agreement or letter of commitment between the offeror and the manufacturer must accompany the offer and must remain in effect for the duration of the contract period of performance including the four option years. The Bureau of Prison (BOP) and Indian Health Service (IHS) requirements are forthcoming and will be included in the solicitation once issued. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of May 11, 2005 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Managements (O&AMM) internet web site @ http://www.va.gov/oamm/busopp/sols.htm.
