- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to extend Contract N00019-01-C-0161 with DRS Data Imaging Systems, Inc. 138 Bauer Drive, Oakland, NJ 07436 for a fifth year of performance in order to procure kits that will be used to upgrade existing Acoustic Data Recorders (ADR) and Data Replay Recorders (DRR) to a hard drive configuration. NAVAIR will also purchase new ADR's in the hard drive configuration for obsolescence, reliability and maintainability improvements. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. DRS is uniquely qualified to perform this effort since they are the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the ADR for the P-3 Block Modification Update Program (BMUP). See Note 22.
