Description

The National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Brinkmann Instruments under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a Single Source, to provide a RP Proline Circulator and a RS 232/485 Interface. Brinkmann Instruments is the only company that manufactures a circulator having a maximum pump pressure of 0.7 bars. The high pump pressure creates a flow of 25 liters per minute, which allows for extremely fast cooling that is required by the Government for laboratory experiments. Therefore, Brinkmann Instruments is the only responsible source to fulfill the Government?s requirement. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation nor is it a request for competition.
