Description

Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC) manages this item: NSN: 2915-01-286-5565PN; P/N: 7084M61G06; NOUN: Control QTY: 5; Delivery: 31 Jan 2007 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have sucessfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, can be considered approved sources for this item. Current known sources are CFM International and BAE Systems. The data or rights to use the data to acquire this item from additional sources are not owned by the Government.Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. See Note 23. APPROXIMATE DATE: Contractors shall refer to the actual solicitation for the exact closing date. The following dates are approximate: The issuance date of solicitation will be 20 April 05. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 20 May 05. The anticipated award date will be 20 June 05. OTHER INFORMATION: Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. No telephone requests. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR 52.209-1. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
