Description
The Combat Sustainment Wing at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center will acquire nonrecurring engineering and materials necessary for redesign, retrofit and/or production of enhanced factory test equipment applicable to the A/A24A-56 Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS). The following initiatives will be accomplished under this effort: Electronics Unit (EU) Factory Test Equipment (UUT NSN 1270-01-460-5254, P/N 620100-01-21, or NSN 1270-01-521-4920, P/N 620100-01-22; EU Factory Test Equipment is not currently stock listed) The EU tester will be redesigned to facilitate (1) test of two single seat EU?s, (2) test of a dual seat EU, (3) drive of two single seat EU?s of during environmental stress screening, and (4) drive of a dual seat EU during environmental stress screening . The redesign will eliminate obsolete tester components and eliminate the need for any secondary EU system level testing through incorporation of simulated JHMCS prime mission hardware. Successful completion will include the production of two new redesigned EU test sets and re-baseline of the EU acceptance test procedure. Anticipated final delivery is 18 months after receipt of contract. Upgrade of the existing inventory of EU Testers will be incorporated by use of priced contract options. Display Unit (DU) Factory Test Equipment (UUT NSN 1240-01-469-6497, P/N 620520-01-05; DU Factory Test Equipment is not currently stock listed) The purpose for this effort is to provide a redesigned test system for performing manufacturing test procedures and contractual acceptance testing for Display Units and spare Cathode Ray Tube assemblies. The redesigned system will provide enhanced characterization/accuracy measurement (CRT/Relay Optics Characterization, Static Accuracy, Pupper Display Accuracy, Pupil Size and Offset, Inter Pupil Distance Range, Field of View, Stability Radian Error, and Camera Offset), enhanced focus and line width measurement (Focus Measurement and Stroke Line Width C/E) and a capability for luminance measurement (Brightness Characterization, Pupper Display Brightness, Stroke Luminance Uniformity, and Automatic Brightness Control. The enhanced system will provide improved production efficiencies by lowering test cycle times and multiplying production throughput capability by a factor of two. Successful completion will include the production of two new redesigned DU test sets and re-baseline of the EU acceptance test procedure. Anticipated final delivery is 18 months after receipt of contract. Solicitation will be sole source to Vision Systems International, Incorporated, 641 River Oaks Parkway, San Jose CA 95134-1907 (CAGE 06VL3) pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Complete drawing packages are not available from the procuring activity.
