INDOOR SIMULATED MARKSMANSHIP TRAINER (ISMT) ASSAULT AMPHIBIOUS VEHICLE (AAV) TURRET TRAINER PRODUCTION. SOL M67854-05-C-8030 DUE 20 APR 2005 POC John E. Lynch @ 407-380-4197 The Program Manager for Training Systems for the U.S. Marine Corps intends to award a sole source contract for continuation of the AAV Turret Trainer Production and fielding support to BMH, 2602 Challenger Parkway, Suite 230, Orlando, FL 32826 in the amount of $1,621,000.00. BMH, in coordination with Office of Naval Research, was the lead developer for the AAV Turret Trainer prototype. The AAV Turret Trainer is a vehicle commander, gunnery and tactical trainer. This system incorporates the actual AAV turret, along with the FATS Indoor Small Arms Marksmanship Trainer Mk-19 and M2 weapons. Its realistic audio/visual cues provide vehicle commander training as well as driver function, in order to enable crew coordination and free vehicle movement. The AAV Turret Trainer will effectively simulate all functions of the vehicle commander crew station. Included within the system are a number of proprietary software packages that facilitate the training in accordance with Marine Corps doctrine and establish collective and individual standards. This system will be include exercises for all AAV gunnery tables, After Action Review and Instructor/Observer controlled feedback.
