- The United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) National Center for Environmental Research (NCER) is seeking a contractor to provide administrative support associated with the Greater Research Opportunities (GRO) Summer Internship portion of the GRO Undergraduate Fellowship Program. Information regarding the GRO undergraduate fellowship program is available via the web at: http://es.epa.gov/ncer/rfa/2004/2005_gro_undergrad_fellow.html The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, services, equipment and facilities in support of the efforts delineated by the performance work statement. Services to be performed include (1) coordinate with the EPA Advisor and potential intern to agree on a final project selection; (2) provide coaching and assistance to each intern in the preparation of a professional resume; (3) monitor interns' progress to ensure successful completion of the summer intern project; (4) retrieve the final report from each intern and perform scientific and technical editing, plus proof-read for grammatical errors; (5) create a Newsletter to share information about the program; and (6) update or collect information about GRO Alumni at the end of the total performance period. This is a follow-on requirement which was previously performed by Environmental Careers Organization under Contract 3W-0120-NANX. It is anticipated that this requirement will be a Performance Based Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Level of Effort, term contract and will have a Base Period with four (4) twelve-month option periods. All performance periods will consist of approximately 930 direct labor hours for the base amount, with no quantity option amounts anticipated . Total maximum Level of Effort for the five years of anticipated performance is estimated at 4,650 direct labor hours. Anticipated award date for this contract is September, 2005. The RFP shall be conducted using Full and Open Competition FAR 15 procedures. The NAICS code for this effort is 611710 with a size standard of $6M. Solicitation PR-CI-05-10398 will appear on the internet, and it may be accessed through the EPA's home page on the World Wide Net (www.epa.gov ). It is the responsibility of interested offerors to frequently check the FEDBizOpss or the EPA website address for updates or changes.
