- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Hypersonics, 164 Ferne Court, Palo Alto, CA 74306-4607 to extend an existing contract to continue upgrading the computational fluid dynamics capability of NSWCDD by integrating the Navy's Global/Local Hypersonic Omni Species thermal (GHOST) Navier-Stokes computer software into a three-dimensional aerothermal analysis capability for the thermal and shape-change analysis of non-charring, charring, and m! ulti-material ablative reentry-vehicle components. In addition to the development and installation of software and the training of Navy personnel, the contractor will modify the software as needed to meet specific NSWCDD requirements and will provide a users' guide to complement the existing GHOST documentation. The existing contract number is N00178-02-C-1024.
