- Description
- The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement for the acquisition of (1) HD-1T Chamber Type Degausser and one year of service. Mandatory requirements are as follows: 1) Must meet DoD specifications for purging classified/sensitive information from hard disk media up to 5000 Oersteds including floppy disks, zip disks, jazz disks, and hard disk drives without removing the disk platters. 2) Must meet DoD specifications for purging all classified/sensitive information from tape media up to 2500 Oesteds including DLT III, DLT IV, Super DLT, LTO, 8mm, DDS1, DDS2, DDS3, DDS4, and VHS. 3) Must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Approved Degausser Products List (DPL) also meeting these requirements. 4) Must accept hard drives to 1? inch high by 4 inches wide by 5.8 inches long. It is anticipated that a sole source purchase order will be awarded to Data Security, Inc., as specified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 333999 and the size standard is 500. All interested parties may submit a quote, that will be evaluated. Responses must be in writing and submitted to the contracting official listed above, seven calendar days after publication of this notice, 3:00 p.m., April 12, 2005. All communication concerning this announcement must be in writing and received by 3:00 p.m. eastern time, no later than 4 calendar days after the publication date of this notice to Ms. Yokita Davis, at 202-307-7832, Fax number 202-307-4877, (Collect calls will not be accepted).
