Description

Objectives: This contract is to provide Reclamation, Phoenix Area Office, the mechanism and capability to conduct annual monitoring of selected biota in Fossil Creek, and present results in annual reports. In cooperation with Reclamation, the contractor will develop a detailed monitoring plan, implement monitoring in the field, and report to Reclamation the results of the monitoring. The purpose of the monitoring is to detect invasion by new species, document assemblage structure changes of the native fish community, assess the relative population status and distribution of lowland leopard frog (Rana yavapaiensis), and appraise reproductive effort of native fishes and lowland leopard frog. Project Location: The project location is Fossil Creek, Gila-Yavapai counties, Arizona, in the reach beginning at the constructed fish barrier located approximately 4.2 miles upstream from the confluence with the Verde River to near the Fossil Springs outflows approximately 14.3 miles above the confluence. Ammended from the previous announcement: This contract is for a base year with four option years. This project is a Total Small Business Set-Aside - Size Standard less than 500 employees. Solicitation will be available on or about 04/08/05.
