- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is providing an informal forum for information exchange between the Government and potential offerors for the future Headborne System (HBS) requirement. The purpose of exchanging information is to improve the understanding of Government requirements and industry capabilities, thereby allowing potential offerors to judge whether or how they can satisfy the Government?s requirements, and enhancing the Government?s ability to satisfy it?s requirement. Additionally, this public forum will provide a variety of teaming opportunities for interested offerors. This is not a pre-solicitation conference and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Information is for planning purposes only. All display spaces will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Unregistered attendees will not be turned away unless space is unavailable. All registered attendees may schedule one on one meeting at MARCORSYSCOM with the Headborne System Team (priority will be given to those companies that have not met with PM-ICE representatives). Additionally, please forward any questions for detailed discussions to the Headborne System Team by April 18, 2005. General Outline: The Government will outline the general overview and goals of the HBS. This will include reviewing and clarifying the Request For Information, M67854-05-I-3027 (RFI) posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (Fed Biz Opps) Website on 28 February 2005. Additionally, the Government will be prepared to answer questions submitted by potential offerors prior to the meeting. This will be followed by an interactive question and answer period. The formal meeting will then break-up and the potential offerors will be given the opportunity to openly display their products. Each potential offeror will be limited to a small table space (approximately 3? x 3?) for display and limited to what will fit in one piece of airline carry on luggage. Government representative(s) will visit each display giving an approximately equal time (~ 5 min) to all potential offerors. During this period, potential offerors will be encouraged to exchange information amongst themselves.
