Description
The Virginia Contracting Activity (VACA) of behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency Center (DIAC) seeks to procure janitorial/custodial services. This procurement will is being solicited as full and open competition using FAR part 12. This will be a best value award. The DIAC currently consist of office space in the Power house, the Remote Delivery Facility, T- Modules (classrooms) loading dock and a garage. The DIAC is located at Building 6000, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, DC. The approximate square footage is 810,000. Special Note: The DIAC is currently undergoing an expansion with an additional estimated square footage of 470,000 with scheduled occupancy expected in July 2005. The contractor shall provide the management, supervision, manpower, equipment and supplies necessary to provide these services. The contractor shall be responsible for performing all work under this contract in accordance with all Federal, State, County and City laws and codes. In addition to compliance with these laws, the contractor shall follow all applicable standard industry practices including, but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). The DIAC is a security facility and all direct employees assigned to the DIAC must meet the investigative requirement for a Top Secret with access to Special Compartmented Information (TS-SCI). Any employee or subcontractor without the TS-SCI clearance must be escorted at all times by authorized escorts and will have no access to certain areas. The contractor is responsible for all escorts at no additional cost to the Government. All contractor personnel assigned to this contract shall be U.S. citizens. The anticipated award will result in a firm fixed price contract with a base period of four (4) months and four (4) one year options. RFP will be issued on/about 14 April 2005 through written request only. An organized one-time site visit is scheduled for 13 Apr 2005 @ 10:00 am. All offerors or quotes are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance to the extent that the information is reasonably obtained. Special requirement: Offerors interested in attending site visit must provide the following information in writing to Juanita Jones @ Juanita.jones@dia.mil no later than 2 P.M. on 11 Apr 2005. 1. Company Name 2. Full names of the attending (limit 2) 3. Social Security Number 4. Clearance level of those attending, identification of the office issuing clearance, and date of expiration. Failure to provide required information may result in denied access to enter base.
