Description
ICICLE AND DOCTOR CREEK BRIDGES ? Proposals are sought for construction of two separate pre-cast, pre-stressed, concrete bridge structures. The work includes full removal of two existing log stringer bridges with log crib abutments over-spanned with two modular Acrow panel bridges and constructing new permanent abutments on which permanent bridge superstructures will be placed. Estimated start work is July 1st, 2005. Total contract time is 180 calendar days. This work is located in the east slope area of the Cascade Mountains at 3000? in elevation on a single lane gravel/dirt road. Icicle Creek Bridge at Milepost 0.1 on Road #7605 will involve constructing a 140? long bridge founded on driven steel pilings with concrete abutment caps. Doctor Creek Bridge at Milepost 1.7 on Road #7605 will involve constructing a 70? long bridge founded on geocell spread footings with concrete abutments. The Icicle Bridge site is adjacent to private property. Work will include requirements related to traffic control, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WFDF) Hydraulic Permits, and including in-stream work timing concerns. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, supplies, and incidentals to perform the work specified herein. Work includes but is not limited to: removal and disposal of old bridge materials, delivering Acrow bridge parts to Auburn, WA., excavating and constructing new abutments, furnishing and installing bank riprap, furnishing and installing the concrete girders, curbs and railings, and paving the approaches. Timing of work within wetted, in-stream perimeter areas is restricted to between July 15th and September 1st unless further approval is obtained from WFDF. The estimated cost range for both projects is $500,000 to $1,000,000. 20% bid bond will be required with all offers, with a resulting 100% performance and payment bond required at time of award. Notice of Total HUBzone Small Business Concern Set-Aside ? Offers from other than Certified HUBzone Contractors will not be considered. At Milepost 99 turn left onto Icicle Creek Road for 12 miles, turn left onto Doctor Bob Road #7605 and proceed 0.1 mile to the Icicle Bridge site and 1.7 miles to the Doctor Creek Bridge site. The small business size standard is no more than $28.5 million gross average receipts per year.
