- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm fixed price contract under commercial item acquisition procedures with AccessData under Request for Quote (FRQ) E000960. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's, Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. AccessData is to provided the following item: AccessData Bootcamp Training Kits. The training kits are to provide an interface and training to clients and users to review data extracted by the computer examiner. AccessData is the sole manufacturer of all AccessData software. Based on the market research conducted via the World Wide Web, and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, it has been determined the FBI's requirement for the above listed items can only be provided by AccessData. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 3:00 PM, EST, April 22, 2005. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
