- The VISN 6 CAS will issue on or about April 22, 2005 solicitation IFB 246-05-01975 for Improve Environmental Systems. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision to perform the necessary shop fabrication drawings and construction to replace the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system serving the first floor east and 2nd floor east areas of Building 75. Work also includes replacement of the existing obsolete building temperature control systems in Buildings 74, 75, and 77 with a new VA furnished-contractor installed air handling unit. Components of construction include mechanical demolition, air handling units, fan coil units, ductwork, steam/glycol/chilled water piping, insulation/identity labels, building automation controls, TAB, electrical conduit/wiring/panelboards, firestopping, and acoustical lay-in tile ceilings. NAICS code for this procurement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a small business size standard of $12M. This procurement is 100% set-aside for certified HubZone business concerns. The cost estimate for this project is between $250,000 - $500,000. The solicitation will be available for download ON OR ABOUT April 22, 2005 at the Business Opportunities Website www.bos.oamm.va.gov. Bidders are responsible for obtaining any and all documents at the website. A paper solicitation WILL NOT be issued. The date and time of the pre-bid conference will be contained in the solicitation.
