Description
The 96 CONS/MSCB, Eglin AFB, FL intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for a Double Planetary Mixer. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number is F1TBAP5087A100 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332410 with a business standard size of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirements are listed with the following specifications: CLIN 0001: Mixer Double Planetary must be capable of mixing explosive and reactive formulations, and as such meet the NEMA 7 & 9 explosive proof standards. Full local and remote controls must be able to raise/lower the kettle and control speeds (remote control need not meet explosive-proof requirements, but must also display kettle temperature). The kettle raising/lowering mechanism must be hydraulic or air-over-hydraulic in order to maintain controlled and safe travel speed. The mixer kettle must have a fluid jacket for heating or cooling with a minimum rating of 50 psi. All wetted surfaces within the mixer Kettle substantial must be 316 stainless steel or Viton, ensuring proper chemical compatibility and safety. Model #DPM-1 Gallon or Equal, Quantity 1 Each; CLIN 0002: Blades; "HV" Interchangeable High Viscosity, must be quick release; allowing a wide range of materials to be mixed, Quantity 1 Each; CLIN 0003: System; hot water, must be suitable for use with a 10-15% solution of a corrosion or biological growth inhibitor. Model T50-3-3-2 or equal, CLIN 0004: Shipping Costs. Required delivery date for all items 15 May 2005, FOB Orgin.
