Description

The Special Operations Directorate of the US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) proposes to procure a Tactical Integrated Video Equipment Package (TIVEP). Key characteristics of the TIVEP are the ability to conduct airborne intelligence, surv eillance, reconnaissance, target acquisition, designation, tagging, tracking and locating of multiple high value targets in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT), with multi-sensor input. This purchase will include five systems, and the non-recurring engineering (NRE) to modify existing equipment to this specific application. Market research has indicated that one manufacturer can meet this requirement with modifications to existing equipment. This will be a sole source procurement to Tactronics, 381 Old River Road Suite 12, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978. The authority to use other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A single firm fixed price (FFP) contract is anticipated. This procurement will be solicited, evaluated, and awarded using FAR Part 15 procedures. This requirement is classified under NAICS code 334310, Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing.
