Description
1. Barge to be delivered to vendor in Seattle area by Government. 2. Size of barge is 352 wide by 1212 long. Barge is a flat bottom/flat top, riveted hull, with a slight 3 to 4 bow down the center and racked ends. Approx weight is 169ton. 3. Up to 15 lay days to be allowed for while dry-docked. 4. Complete outside of barge to be pressure washed at 3,000psi minimum. 5. Upon completion of washing, outside to be inspected by Gov. rep and shipyard rep. Also, 12 bottom side zincs to be checked and replaced if needed. 6. 5 ea push timbers to be replaced with like items. Timber size is 32 long x 76 thick X 96 wide. Also 50 new galvanized bolts needed with hardware. 7. 6 ea deck hatches need opened. Shipyard to provide for confined space work. Shipyard to provide a certified marine surveyor to inspect the inside of barge and give report to Gov rep. Any repairs needed to hatches are to be made and the hatches to be resealed. 8. 1 ea forward port side deck broken off stanchion post to be repaired to match others, pipe size is 7 with a cap. W912DW-05-Q-0063 Page 6 of 28 9. Bottom and sides of hull and 12 ea upright stanchions are to be primed and repainted a high grade black lead-free marine epoxy. A coat of lead-free anti-fowl paint to be applied to the bottom and sides up to the waterline. 10. Deck to be primed and repainted a red lead-free high grade marine epoxy with a light anti-slip material included in the paint. 11. All deck hatches, cleats and guides on deck to be repainted a lead-fee yellow color. 12. Repaint draft numbers on all 4 corners, in white 6 numbers. 13. Repaint barge numbers NWS-1-12-3 on both port and starboard sides of bow top in white 6 numbers. 14. Repaint US Army Corps Of Engineers on center of bow, center of both sides and stern in 6 letters. 15. White paint used shall be lead-free. 16.
