Description

Supply an abrasive, class code 5350, to be used at the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), Bldg 433. The abrasive shall be used to blast clean ferrous and nonferrous metal surfaces, such as turrets and hulls, for removing corrosion, scale and paint to provi de surfaces that are clean and suitable for painting. The abrasive shall be used at existing facilities at ANAD. The abrasive shall be almandite garnet, uniform and sub-angular in shape. The abrasive shall be a dry free flowing 30-60 medium grade materi al. This procurement is small business set-aside. The abrasive shall meet the chemical composition, physical properties, and sive analysis requirements, which will be provided with solicitation. North American Industry Classification System Code is 3279 10, size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c); therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Proposals submitted must be in electronic format as stated in the s olicitation. Estimated issue date is 20 April 05. CAUTION: Thi s solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to peri odically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of your proposal.
