Description
The U.S. Army Program Manager for Close Combat Systems (PM-CCS) in conjunction with the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, is seeking sources for improved non-developmental items (NDI) or near-NDI warheads and fuzing for the 84mm AT4 Confined Space (AT4CS) weapon system providing US Army and SOF the ability to defeat personnel behind complex targets (to include reinforced concrete and brick walls) being encountered during urban combat environments. The U.S. Army and US Special Operations Forces both utilize the M136 AT4 weapon and AT4 Confined Space. The U.S. Army in cooperation with the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), intends to conduct test and evaluation of improved warheads with the AT4CS weapon which will increase its operational effectiveness in urban warfare. Such test and evaluation will include weapon and fuze saftey, ballistics, performance, and environmental testing of up to 400 systems. All interested parties having a non-development item (NDI) or near NDI AT4CS compatible warheads capable of penetrating 8" concrete and 12" triple brick walls will be considered. Please include the following information in your response: (a) Warhead Description, including Fuzing (b) Developmental/Operational Status of Warhead and Fuzing, (c) Relevant Test Data, including performance against brick and concrete walls, (d) Production Status of Warhead and Fuzing (e) Current Unit Cost and (f) Delivery Time. Please limit your responses to no more than 20 pages to be received no later than 15 April 2005.
