- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, Florida intends to issue a sole source contract to Para-Flite Incorporated for the procurement of twenty-eight (28) MC-5 Parachute Systems. The MC-5 parachute systems are only available from Para-Flite Incorporated by direction of the Marine Corp Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM). The MC-5 Parachute System forms a highly specialized airborne delivery system which has undergone extensive testing and qualification under the MARCORSYSCOM Diving/Parachuting Authority. Each part has been tested to perform to rigid requirements as specified in Marine Corps Order (MCO) 3500.20A for Marine Corps Parachuting and Diving Policy and Program Administration. Only those articles, which have been successfully tested, are qualified. The objective of this process is to verify that the system provides acceptable levels of safety and mission critical support throughout the system specific operating range and to provide maximum reasonable ass! urance that the mission can be completed. Award will be based on the written quotation. The anticipated award date will be on or about May 23, 2005. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity - Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7018. Period of performance will be 45 days from issuance of the contract. NAICS Code 314999 applies. SBA Size Standard is 500 Employees. FSC is 1670. Notes 1 and 23 applies.
