Description
This is a request for information / sources sought announcement to identify potential sources and gather information on current capabilities within the market. The Air Force Metrology Calibration Detachment is considering a purchase of a 3 wire Syncro/4 wire Resolver Angle Position Indicator. This item will be one component of a Portable Automatic Test Equipment Calibration (PATEC) system. It will be a working standard used to follow synchros and resolvers and indicate angles, using a full-tracking type II servo. It shall be capable of following synchros or resolvers to the speed of 1000?/second without velocity errors. It shall accept any standard line-to-line level without pre-selecting or pre-programming the input signals. It shall be able to present in converted syncro and resolver data in two forms, a front-panel information displays and by ASCII coded information on an IEEE-488 General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) on a rear panel connector. It shall be able to perform the described measurements at frequency ranges 360 to 1200 Hz and at over temperature range of 0 to 50? Celsius. It shall take measurements with an angular range of 0.000 to 359.999? at a resolution of 0.001? and an accuracy of ?0.004?. It shall use a banana connector for all measurements. All functions of the item shall be capable of being remotely accessed via the GPIB and an external controller. Offerors responding to this sources sought market research must (1) state whether they are a small or large business, (2) indicate if they are a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, 8(a) firm, or a historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI), or a historically underutilized business zone (HUB Zone) small business; (3) advise if you have the item on a GSA schedule, (4) provide information concerning the technical capabilities of the product you are interested in offering, including commercial literature/brochures. (5) advise if you accept the Government purchase card, (6) any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess your firms capabilities, (7) Provide Point of contact and assigned Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder.
