- Description
- This is a request for information / sources sought announcement to identify potential sources and gather information on current capabilities within the market. The Air Force Metrology Calibration Detachment is considering a purchase of a Surface Finish Tester that will consist of a traverse unit, motorized column, support table,and a controller. The traverse unit shall be capable of traveling 2 inches in the horizontal direction. The traverse unit shall be capable of measuring a depth of scratch up to 0.001 inches in depth and an average roughness range of 10 - 50 uinches. The motorized column shall have a minimum vertical range of 6 inches. The motorized column, traverse unit and controller shall be mounted on a self- supported table. The controller shall have necessary software to perform be capable of measuring the following parameters: (Roughness) Ra, Rq, Rv, Rp, Rt, Rti, Rsk, Rku, RLambdaQ, RDeltaQ, RDeltaA, RD RSm, Ry, Rz(ISO), Rz(DIN), Rp, R3y, R3z, Rk, Rpk, Rvk, Mr1, Mr2, HSC, RPC, RHtp, RVo, Lo, (Unfiltered) Pa, Pq, Pv, Pp, Pt, Psk, Pku, PLambdaQ, PDeltaA,PS, PSm, Lo, PVo, PHSC, Pc, PPC, PHtp. Gaussian filter.0.8 mm cut-off with a nominal band ratio 300:1. The controller shall maintain software to calculate an average line for the peaks and valleys of the depth of scratch at both the top and bottom of the scratch and calculate a distance between the two lines. Offerors responding to this sources sought market research must (1) state whether they are a small or large business, (2) indicate if they are a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, 8(a) firm, or a historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI), or a historically underutilized business zone (HUB Zone) small business; (3) advise if you have the item on a GSA schedule, (4) provide information concerning the technical capabilities of the product you are interested in offering, including commercial literature/brochures. (5) advise if you accept the Government purchase card, (6) any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess your firms capabilities, (7) Provide Point of contact and assigned Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder.
