Description

A market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate, HubZone; 8(a); and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) contractors for this proposed contract. The proposed contract will be for the design and construction of a 17,846 SF Base Operations facility at Westover ARB, MA. The project will provide a facility that supports daily airfield operations and includes a Wing Command Post, Weather Forecasting, and Wing Plans. All supporting utilities, landscaping, parking , and pavements will be included. The project is planned for advertisement in June 2005 with an approximate award date of August 2005. The contract duration is estimated at 455 days. NAICS is 236220. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. 20% of the work is to b e self performed. All interested small businesses should reply to this office in writing by mail by April 22, 2005, 3:00 PM, Louisville, Kentucky time. Telephonic responses will not be honored. Response should include: (1) Identification and verificatio n of companys Small Business status, (2) Past Experience - Describe completed projects that are similar in size, scope to the proposed project (base operations), the percentage of self performed work and how it was accomplished, (3) capability of obtaini ng performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above, and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: if qualified small business firms do not respond, this plann ed contract action will be converted to a full and open competition.
