- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. This requirement is for a 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for linked .50 caliber ammunition DODIC: AA06 made in accordance with Government Automated Data Lists, Drawings, Specifications and Quality Assurance Provisions. The Government requires a minimum/maximum quantity of 2,813,463/6,500,000 cartridges. There is also a separate requirement for a quantity of 244,800 MK263 cartridges. Multiple awards are possible between the .50 caliber ammunition and the MK263 cartridges. That is, one contractor may win the award for the .50 caliber ammunition and a different contractor may win the award for the MK263 cartridges. Also required are first article units for the M20 API-T, MK211 MOD 1 API, MK263 MOD 0 AP, M9 Link, M2A1 Ammunition Box, and Wirebound Ammunition Packing Wood Boxes. If selected contractor has been producing DODIC: AA06 and/or any subcomponent(s) continuously during the last three months, first article units may be waived by the ! Government for one and/or all subcomponent(s). Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database and must be certified under the Joint Certification Program in order to receive the technical package. Other requests to receive the data shall be referred to Commander, Code 402, NSWC Crane, Indiana 47522-5001. Delivery is required F.O.B. Origin. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the Government considering past performance and price related factors. The solicitation will be available on or about 10 May 2005 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. ?No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed?.
