Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracts Department, Philadelphia Division intends to solicit on an other than full and open competition basis services required by the U.S. Joint Forces Commands? (USJFCOM) Special Security Officer and Collateral Security Officer to establish and maintain special security and collateral security programs. An estimated 4,084 man hours of services are required during the period from 1 June 2005 through 30 September 2005 in support of the following functional areas: personnel, physical, information and special security requirements. This requirement is to be processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Management Technology, Inc. (MTI) for the required services. MTI is currently providing services to support the USJFCOM?s establishment and maintenance of special and collateral security programs under contract N00140-05-D-0007. The instant requirement is for emergent tasks that are integrally related to the work that MTI is already performing under contract N00140-05-D-0007. It has been determined to be impractical to procure the required services that are integrally related to the work already being performed by MTI from a firm other than MTI. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by the specified response date. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. The NAICS code is 541990 and the small business size standard is $23 million. Numbered notes 22 and 26 apply.
