- ****ATTENTION****FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO FLOYD CARLTON. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with addition al information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effec t through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-16. The Procurement Request Order Number (PRON) AX5Q0193AX is being issued as a request for quotation under solicitation number W58RGZ-05-T-0473. Unit of measure is each; NSN 5330-01-162-2401; Part Number 23004 513. This is applicable to the OH-58D Engine Unit (T-703-AD-700). Spec/Std controlling data, Manufacturers Code: 63005. Mfr source controlling reference: 23004513. Quantity is 390 each. This requirement is restricted to: Rolls-Royce Corp, Cage Code: 630 05 and Aviall Services Inc (the distributor for Rolls-Royce Corp) Cage Code: 22819, because this part is a commercial/non-developmental/off-the-shelf item. Other prospective sources must qualify through the FAA under the Part Manufacturer Approval (PMA). All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encou raged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitation by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Requests for Aviati on Requirements. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. The consignee for 390 each is XU Transportation Officer, DDSP New Cumberland Facility, Building Mission Door 113 134, New Cumberland, PA 17070-5001. Required delivery is 390 each, 130 Days after Contract Award (DACA). Inspection and acceptance is at FOB point Destination. Offerors are encouraged to provide earlier delivery at no additional cost to the Government. Packagi ng requirements are: Quantity Unit Package (QUP) [001]. MIL-STD-129 markings shall apply.
