Description
Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals: (Army, Navy, Air Force) Southwest Region Patient Clothing, Reusable – Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, Southwest Region, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of Patient Clothing Reusable, which includes gowns, robes, smocks, pajama tops and bottoms. Southwest Region, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in California are in the process of standardizing Patient Clothing Reusable. If your company currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP) for Patient Clothing Reusable, your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you are still eligible to participate in the standardization process by contacting the Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia (DSCP), Mr. John Charalabidis at (215) 737-7124 or e-mail at john.charalabidis@dla.mil to apply for a DAPA. Your company can be considered once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP Please respond by Email: cingrao@nmcsd.med.navy.mil and provide your company name, address, point of contact, telephone, fax and E-mail address and answers to the below listed questions no later than April 25, 2005. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1.Does your company manufacture a full line of reusable patient clothing gowns, robes, special purpose such as break away, mammography, etc.; pajama tops and bottoms)? 2.Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor? 3.What is your DAPA Number? 4.Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute your product? 5.What types, styles, and colors of reusable patient clothing does your company manufacture? 6.Are your products available in a variety of sizes for neonatal, pediatric and adult (XS to 3X) patients? 7.Please list the styles (include neck and pant configurations, pockets, fastener placement), sizes, and lengths for each of the products your company offers? 8.Are your sizes color-coded on the garment? If yes, where on the garment is the marking? 9.Does your company use the international color-code for sizes? If yes, please list by product number the size and color used for all sizes offered by your company. Is this color coding standard for all product lines or do different product lines or quality have different color coding? 10.Please supply the following for each product line your company offers: Product Type, Name of the Line, Size, Color Code for the Size, Color Code Int’l Std. Code, Weight of Fabric (Lightweight - Moderate Weight – Heavyweight), Thread Count, and Fabric Blend 11.Are the fabrics you use wrinkle resistant, stain releasing, and fade resistant? 12.Are your styles suitable for both females and males? 13.Are your tops and pants reversible? 14.Are your gowns available with snaps at the shoulders/arms to allow for changing of patients with IVs? 15.Are your fabrics flame retardant and do they meet fire safety requirements established for hospital linen? If so, please provide documentation your clothing meet these standards for patient safety. 16.How does your company ensure the clothing is not restrictive in any way? 17.Does your clothing have reinforced seams and thread to avoid unraveling? 18.What types of educational tools or materials do you have for this product line? 19.Does your company provide customer service 24/7? 20.Is there any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group?
