- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number is F3B3C15067A100 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-14. This acquisition is unrestricted. The U.S. Air Force 48th Contracting Squadron intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order for: CLIN 0001: A Converyor Belt system to be used at the Post Office at RAF Mildenhall, Suffolk. Minimum requirements must include Telescopic Travel 15,250mm, Closed Length 5,850mm, Overall length 21,100mm, Height from floor to top of belt 955mm, Belt width 600mm, Belt type Smooth top 2 ply PVC, Belt speed- 30m/min, Belt direction Reversible, Loading 50KG/M, Drive Unit position External, Power Supply 400v-3ph-50Hz. Controls Push button controls mounted on the front of the telescopic boom. Emergency stop to halt all functions fitted to the front of the telescopic boom and both sides of the fixed main boom, Control Voltage 24 volts AC. Motorised hydraulic height adjustment to allow the booms to be raised and lowered by push buttons mounted on the forward end of the machine, with hinge point at the top corner of MTC body plus 510mm (20) stroke rams. Light Low voltage Twin halogen light arrangement fitted to the front end of the machine. Safety bar fitted to the end of the telescopic boom. Extra push button controls located on the main boom for belt Forward/reverse/stop, telescopic boom in/out and motorised hydraulics up/down. Impact absorbing plate fitted to the end of the telescopic boom under the MTC belt with four rubberised suspension units. Installation and delivery. Delivery date for all items: As this piece of equipment is needed for a new facility to be opened on 6th June, the equipment must be installed no later than 27th May, the successful vendor must also be able to dispose of the old equipment, ideally reimbursable against the new machinery. Deliver to Building 172, New Post Office , RAF Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, UK. Due to the nature of this purchase, only UK based vendors quotes will be accepted. A site visit for interested vendors will take place at 1.30pm Monday 18th April, please contact Debbie Vigar on 01638 522263 to confirm your attendance no later than 11am on Friday 15th April. Far provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this RFQ with the following addenda: paragraphs (h) and (i) of this provision do not apply and change paragraph (c) from 30 calendar days to 60 calendar days. Far provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this RFQ with the following addenda: Paragraph (a) is filled in with (1) Price, (2) Delivery, and (3) warranty/return policy for nametag errors; paragraph (b) does not apply. The clause at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, without addenda, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, without addenda, applies to this acquisition (including: 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222.37and 52.232-33).
