- Description
- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Acquisitions Management and Operations Branch (AMOB), has a requirement for yeast two-hybrid analysis of proteins. The contractor will be responsible for analyzing each protein as multiple overlapping fragments engineered as DNA-binding domain constructs (DBD Constructs), preparing custom activation domain libraries, generating and screening each of the DBD Constructs against up to three different activation domain libraries, reproducing all interactions in naïve yeast and confirming specificity using multiple microbial DBD Construct controls, providing continuous access to the protein interaction data via a secure, web-based interface, and providing access to a curated database of publicly reported protein-protein interactions. Offerors must have significant operational experience utilizing yeast two-hybrid screening technology to detect host-pathogen protein-protein interactions. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will result in a firm fixed price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity service contract for one base year and the option for four consecutive contract years. Procurement will be an unrestricted commercial item purchase. The solicitation will be available for download on or about April 20, 2005 at www.fedbizopps.gov.
