- U.S. Army Field Support Command (HQ, AFSC) is seeking interested sources capable of: (1) Manufacturing PA125 Metal Containers, (2) Collecting and refurbishing field returned PA125 Metal Containers. The PA125 Metal Containers are the outer shipping and storage containers for packaging linked 25MM cartridges. National Stock Number (NSN): 8140-01-347-8121, Part Number (PN):12576143. The PA125 is a metal, rectangular container with an overall length of 14.340 inches, an overall width of 5.700 inches, and an overall height of 13.870 inches. The contractor will provide all new and/or refurbished internal container components with each new or refurbished container, including: rubber gasket, filler pads, pl astic restraining plate and plastic separator assembly. Refurbishment: The contractor will be responsible for collecting and storing field returned PA125 metal containers from approximately 20 locations throughout the United States when necessary. The contractor shall provide a facility capable of handling expl osive materials. The contractor shall inspect field returned PA125 Metal Containers and internal components to determine the degree of rework required for reuse and refurbishment. It is anticipated that this procurement for PA125 Metal Containers will be a Small Business Set-Aside, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) 5 year contract. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is it to be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government. Interested firms who feel that they are capable of manufacturin g and/or refurbishing PA125 Metal Containers are invited to indicate their interest along with information concerning their capability to produce/refurbish this item no later than 12 May 2005, and identify PA125 Metal Container Sources Sought/Market Resear ch as the subject of their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
