Description

The GLAC (Great Lakes Acquisition Center) intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the period of July 27,2005 through July 26,2006 (with three one-year options exercised at the government?s discretion) for a one year subscription to Micromedex intranet package, intranet bundle, for all VISN 12 facilities, clinics and medical centers, including the following databases: Drugdex, Poisindex, Emergindex, Identidex, Martindale, Tomes, Reprorisk, Pharmaceutical MSDS PDR, Drugreax, Carenotes, Dosing and Therapeutic, by Thompson Micromedex, of Englewood, CO. The government believes that Thompson Micromedex is the only manufacture that will satisfy the agency requirements. NAICS 511140 will be used. This is sole source procurement under the simplified acquisition procedures and other than full and open competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone request will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements my give written notification to the Contracting Officer within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to Eural Bennett, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Milwaukee, WI. 53295, or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiations with Thompson Micromedex.
