Description

Design and construction to renovate and expand existing Joint Forces Fitness Center Facility. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, and consultant services to design and construct the addition and alterations to the Physical Fitness Center at the Minneapolis-St. Paul IAP ARS, Minneapolis, MN to result in a complete and useable facility. The facility will consist of an approximately 19,300SF addition to an existing building, ultimately yielding and approximately 25,200SF single story facility with a mezzanine. The building will include a new gymnasium, locker rooms, administrative areas, exercise rooms, multi-purpose rooms, common areas, mechanical areas, stairwells (option), and an elevator (option). The project will also include modifications to an existing parking lot to achieve adequate stand-off di stance, partial building demolition, connection sidewalks, landscaping and fencing. Supporting utilities shall include gas, sewer, water, and underground electrical and communication services. Furniture will be purchased and installed by other contract. T his solicitation also contains option items. These items are: 1) Extend Mezzanine, 2) Skylight, 3) Bleachers, 4) Porcelain tile in the corridors, 5) Optimum construction schedule, and 6) Renovate Racquetball Court. 20% of the work must be self-performed. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP). Proposals received in response to this solicitation will be evaluated for best value to the Government in accordance with the following criteria listed in descending order of importance: Experience of the Prime Contractor, Design Team and Individual Personnel Experience; Management Plan and Schedule; Past Performance of Prime Contractor and Design Team; Price; Self-Performed Work and Subcontracting Information. All evaluation factors, other than cost or pr ice, when combined, are equal to cost or price. Estimated value of this project is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Documents will be available on/about 02 May 2005 and proposal due date is 09 June 2005 at 4:30 PM Louisville Local Time. This pro ject is available on compact disk and web only.
