Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for Installation of Buoys and Anchor Systems for Manatee Protection Zones in the downtown Jacksonville, Fl area. Work includes but is not limited to providing and installing approximately 14 buoys and anchoring systems in water approximately 20 foot in depth, requiring commercial diving skills and certification. This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. NAICS Code: 561990, Size Standard: $6,000,000. This is a total small business set-aside. A firm fixed price commercial order will be issued. The tentative RFQ issue date is on or about 04/28/05, with a closing date NLT 05/26/05. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued with a performance period of 45 days from the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date will be NLT 06/1/05. The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders. The RFQ documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ Number 401815Q064. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Note: Prospective offeror's must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) HTTP://WWW.CCR.GOV in order to be eligible for award. CCR registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number, which can be obtained free of charge from Dun and Bradstreet at (800) 333-0505. Once you are registered you will be able to view quotes on line at either http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov (the Department of Interior site). For questions at Interior's site, please call the help desk at (703)390-6633. This will be your only means of obtaining the solicitation/award. All contractors with access to the internet and an e-mail address can receive electronic notifications of award.
