Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intends to enter into negotiations for a firm fixed price contract on an other than full and open competition basis to Lockheed Martin Santa Barbara Focalplane, 346 Bollay Drive, Goleta, CA 93117-2804 for a quantity of three (3) each ImagIR Camera Systems, Part number SYS-320/256S-3, which also includes a quantity of one each Custom Design for Kadel KR373 Dewar; a quantity of one each Custom Electronics Mount Design; a quantity of one each Customer Training Software Implementation; and a quantity of one each SBF Software Development Kit (SDK). The ImagIR Camera System is the only Camera System capable of satisfying the China Lake T-SPIL hybrid missile fly-out simulator requirements that can capture the full dynamic range of an infrared target scene and countermeasures either independently or altogether (3 cameras at one time). The Camera System must have compatibility of camera control input signal and digital ou! tput format with existing Navy airborne camera control and data acquisition systems; and be small enough in size to fit within existing airborne systems. The systems cannot be changed or replaced because they must continue to support existing Tiger Pod infrared instruments in addition to the T-AIRIS cameras. Three T-AIRIS imaging cameras, mounted side-by-side, must physically fit into the 30 inch diameter turret of the Tiger Pod. When configured with a 100 mm, f/2.3 bayonet lens at initiy focus, a single T-AIRIS camera must be no larger than 18.5 inches long by 9.5 inches high by 5.1 inches wide with the top of the lens no higher than 5.5 inches from the mounting surface. Delivery of the items is FOB Destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division Point Mugu, CA 6 months after receipt of order. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5). This requirement is limited to Lockheed Martin Santa Barbara Focalplane! for compatibility with existing Navy airborne camera controller and data acquisition systems. Any firms believing they can provide an ImagIR Camera System as stated herein, clearly showing the system's ability to be completely compatible to an existing Navy airborne camera controller and data acquisition system may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 15 days after this notification is published. Any firm submitting a response shall include literature which clearly shows the product is completely compatible as stated herein. Responses shall include brochures and specific information identified that meet all requirements listed above. All requests must reference RFQ Number N68936-05-T-0158.
