Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, FL, (NSWC PC) intends to solicit competitive quotes for one (1) commercially available dynamic balancing machine to balance Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) lift fans. The LCAC is a U.S. Navy hovercraft that relies on four centrifugal impellers to provide lift. Each impeller, with a diameter of 5.25 ft and a weight of 905lbs, is driven by an output shaft at speeds ranging from 1400 to 1770 RPM. The successful offeror will be required to provide approximately four (4) days of onsite support for installation, calibration, operator training and proof of operation testing at Assault Craft Unit Five (ACU-5), Camp Pendleton, CA. Award will be on a best value basis in accordance with selection criteria specified in the solicitation. NAICS Code 334519 applies. FSC is 3695. A request for quotation will be utilized in awarding this simplified acquisition.
