- The Government intends to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type contract with firm fixed prices for training services in support of the Naval Occupational Safety and Health, and Environmental Training Center (NAVOSHENVTRACEN), Norfolk, VA. The contractor shall provide an Introduction to Hazardous Materials (Ashore) course that is designed to introduce civilian and military personnel assigned to full-time or collateral occupational safety and health, or other duties involving the management of hazardous materials with the training to identify hazardous materials control requirements and methods ashore. The period of performance is for one base year with four (4), twelve-month option periods. Training services shall be performed at a variety of CONUS and OCONUS locations. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 611710. The solicitation number for this procurement is N00189-05-R-0019 and will be released on or about 20 April 2005 with a closing date of 13 May 2005. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil and http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. By submission of a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
