- Description
- This amendment A) extends the closing date for the receipt of quotations to April 18, 2005 and B) answers vendor questions. A) TIME EXTENSION: By this amendment, the time and date for receipt of quotations is extended to 1630 EST, April 18, 2005.. B) RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS: 1. Don’t understand the reason for the UL Listing charge. Is this an item that you want manufactured for you? Or do you have a specific brand and part number you are looking for? Response: The requirement is for an 8 outlet power strip that fits in a standard 19" rack mount (cabinet), 8' long power cord, 20 amp. There is a standard power strip that bolts into a cabinet, however the difference is these power strips are 20 amp rated. (Most of the power strips purchased are 15 amp rated.) SSA requires 20 amp power strips and they must be UL approved for safety reasons. The UL charge is listed as a separate item in case there is a separate charge to obtain the UL. 2. Are there specifications available for clarification on the requirements of the power strip? Response: See the answer to question number 1.. 3. Please furnish the manufacturer for the P/N BUD-0159-05. Response: BUD Industries 4. May a substitution be made for another model/manufacturer? Response: Yes, as long as it meet the specification stated on the requirement and in question number 1. It must be UL approved. 5. Does the outlet have to be an 8 outlet power strip and 20amp? Can you go with a 10 outlet power strip? If not, can you do an 8 outlet with a 15amp power strip? Response: More than 8 outlets are acceptable, but power strip must be 20amp.. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (14-APR-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
