Description
The VA Medical Center, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton OH 45428 is searching for firms capable of providing fully upholstered, large square high back, break apart into components-break down chairs to be used by patients in the Medical Center Nursing Home. All components shall be covered top and bottom with a moisture barrier that is waterproof, mildew-proof and washable. No metal, plastic or wood surfaces. The desired fabric is crypton or comparable. Matching fabric coverings must be readily available for replacement. The seat and back should be supported by a strong and durable one piece frame. The arms should be of a radius shape that facilitates both comfort and ease of exit. All materials and foams shall be flame retardant. The arms, seat, and back shall be independently easily removable and readily available for replacement. The fabric covering of the arms, seats, and backs shall be independently easily removable and readily available for replacement. The approximate dimensions of the chair should be 38 inches high, 38 inches wide, 35 inches deep, and have a total weight of approximately 75 lbs. The seat should be approximately 20 inches high from the floor, 22 inches deep, and 24 inches wide. The arm height from the floor should be approximately 24 inches. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Solicitation packages are not available. Firms believing they can meet the requirements should provide supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements stated above. Firms are advised that electronic responses to this notice may not be responded to. This office anticipates issuing a Request For Quotations at a later date once sources are identified. Responses to this notice will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. This Sources Sought Notice is not restricted; however, the Contracting Officer reserves the right to set this procurement aside for Small Businesses or other Socio Economic groups. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 337127.
