Description
CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT The United States Government Printing Office (GPO) will host a conference on the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) Tax Packages and Tax Related Products. The conference will be held at the GPO, 732 North Capitol Street, NW, Washington, DC 20401, on May 26, 2005, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Carl Hayden Room (8TH floor). The goal of this conference is to inform the printing community of IRS printed products with their separate and distinct requirements, and to provide information for participating in the bid process for these products. Presentations will focus on the various IRS product specifications and their distinctive requirements. Topics will include: imaging requirements; content management requirements; distribution, shipping, and mailing requirements; security/privacy requirements, and quality control plans. The conference will also cover GPO compliance monitoring, the Quality Assurance Through Attributes Program, and how to participate in the bid process; including, how to instantly sign up to do business with the GPO through the GPO Contractor Connection. Anyone who plans to attend must register by May 16, 2005. To register, e-mail Greg Hamlet at ghamlet@gpo.gov, or Michael Barnes at mbarnes@gpo.gov. Registrants must provide the following: company name and address, name and number of individuals planning to attend, phone number, and email address. Entry into the GPO is controlled, and GPO parking is not available. Parking lots are nearby for a fee. The GPO is located approximately two blocks from Union Station, a major hub for the Maryland (MARC) and Virginia (VRE) Transit Rails, Amtrak, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro). If you have any questions regarding the conference, please contact Gregory Hamlet, National Account Manager, U.S. Government Printing Office, at (202) 512-1904 or Michael Barnes, Senior Agency Publishing Specialist, U.S. Government Printing Office, at (202) 512-2044.
