Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is for a software application license. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-02. (End of clause) Software Application Description: The software application should provide an efficient means to conduct, manage and assess the clinical encounters between students and standardized patients (SP) in virtual real time. The required application should consist of a scheduling module and six fully integrated modules designed to meet the unique teaching, training, and assessment requirements for medical and nursing students; interns and resident; and other medical personnel assigned in the National Capital Area Medical Simulation Center catchments area. The six modules required are as follows: Data collection from both SPs and learners Case Questionnaire Authoring Test Event Management w/personalized mass emails User account management Learners, SP and case performance reporting Clinical Reasoning Assessment Allows students to order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, then review the results of those tests and subsequently, make definitive diagnosis and treatment plans. The software application should also allow staff to make changes and entries during a training event and create rotation charts that are produced and printed automatically and thereby reduce staff workload during each event. SP Scheduling The licensed software application required must be a free standing and web-based comprehensive, integrative, clinical case development and management software application. Written warranty is required.
