Description

The contractor shall complete approximately 1400 feet of road reconstruction on Williams River Road (FR 86) in Webster County, West Virginia, on the Monongahela National Forest. The project includes, but is not limited to the following work: approximately 800 CY of excavation and 1700 CY of roadway embankment construction, culvert replacement/installation, approximately 5 miles of reconditioning of existing surface, cleaning/reconstruction of ditches, paving, and shoulder stone. USDA Forest Service has marked the beginning and ending points of work. Beginning station is 669+00 and ending station is 971+85 for a total of 5.74 miles of work. Work shall be started and completed between June 1 and September 1, 2005. Work shall be stopped and road shall be opened for the 4th of July weekend. Work may resume on Tuesday, July 5th. A 20% bid bond is required for this firm fixed price, construction contract. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for HUBZone Small Business Concerns and award will be issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This solicitation will be available ONLY electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: http://www.eps.gov/, on approximately April 23, 2005.
