- The United States Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command is planning the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the acquisition of a five-year, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for up to a total of $23.5M for the AN/ASN- 128B DGNS Doppler Global Positioning System (GPS) Navigation Set (DGNS): CP-1252C Computer Display Units (CDUs), CP-1252C CDU Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), and the conversion of CP-1252B CDUs to CP-1252C CDUs. The AN/ASN -128B DGNS is a key sensor component used to provide continuous velocity, navigation, and guidance information on the CH-47 Chinook and UH-60 A/L Black Hawk helicopters. The government intends procurement through a sole source acquisition to BAE Systems Information and Electronics System Integration (BAE), 164 Totowa Road, Wayne, New Jersey 07470-0311, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. BAE Systems is the only source capable of meeting the Government's requirements. BAE is the original equipment manufacturer of the AN/ASN-128B DGNS and its associated CDUs, which includes the CP-1252B and CP-1252C CDUs and as sociated CCAs. The technical data for the AN/ASN-128B is proprietary to BAE.
