Description

Sources Sought/Market Research CNU 332/E 30MM Containers U.S. Army Field Support Command (HQ, AFSC) is seeking interested sources capable of manufacturing CNU 332/E 30MM Metal Containers. The CNU 332/E Metal Container is the outer shipping and storage container for packaging linked 30MM cartridges. National Stock Number (NSN): 8140-01-089-9957. The CNU 332/E Metal Container consists of: steel, Mylar liner, top insert, polypropylene base f abric bottom filler, clip hitch pin, taper pin, ferrule (metal ring), seals, nuts and bolts. The CNU 332/E Metal Container measures approximately; length 49.750 inches, width 12.125 inches, and height 41.000 inches. The contractor will be responsible for the production of new CNU 332/E Metal Containers that include all of the above listed components. The Government requests interested sources to supply a rough estimate of per unit price to produce this item since it has not been manufactured in more than 20 years. Interested firms are still invited to notify the Government of interest in this item wit hout providing price data. Any price information the Government receives will be used for planning purposes only. Price information will not create any obligation to the Government or to the contractor. This Sources Sought/Market Survey is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is it to be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government. Interested firms who feel that they are capable of manufacturing the CNU 30MM/E Metal Containers are invited to indicate their interest along with information concerning their capability to produce this item not later than 31 May 2005. Interested firms should identify CNU 30MM/E Metal Container as the subject of their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
