Description: The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) for the Lot 6 procurement of the Sidewinder AIM-9X Missile Weapons System. This procurement would include up to 800 Missiles (All-Up-Rounds and Captive Air Training Missiles), Training Rounds, Spare Parts and Support Equipment, related supplies and services and data for the USN, USAF and various FMS countries. RMS is the original manufacturer, and only known source possessing the requisite technical knowledge, specialized experience, capability, tooling and technical data to fulfill these requirements.
